Job Description

Position Summary:
The welder/fabricator is responsible for fabricating mounts, compartments, shelves, plumbing and occasionally body work on a fire apparatus. This role includes hands-on and side by side training for custom fabrication, design and installation. Each element is highly custom and the right candidate would be working on specialized design, not mass produced.
Role and Responsibilities:
Complete required documentation efficiently and accurately for both Red Power Diesel and customers. Fabrication and equipment installation on fire trucks Clean work space after job is complete Maintain accurate and complete notes on service orders May be asked to assist shop technicians
Minimum Requirements:
Knowledge of MIG welding TIG welding knowledge is considered a plus Knowledge of equipment: Brake Press, Sheer Ironworker and Plasma Cutter Ability to work with Aluminum, Stainless Steel and Steel material Strong interpersonal skills and technical communication skills Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Must possess awareness of safety standards, organization skills and the ability to keep work station clean and free of debris Must be able to multitask as needed, with the ability to transition as required Must be able to pass drug screen and physical assessment

Monday - Thursday 7:30am-5:00pm & Friday 7:30am-11:30am

$20.00 - $40.00 per hour
