We are seeking highly skilled 2nd Shift Stainless Steel Welders to fabricate and weld critical components used in food processing, sanitary manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and nuclear industry applications. This position is ideal for welders who take pride in producing clean, high-quality welds that meet the industry's most demanding standards. What Makes LMC Different Across Northeast Wisconsin, shops compete with overtime promises, forced weekends, and micromanagement. LMC takes a different approach. Here, welders own their work. You're trusted to fit, weld, and inspect your projects, make decisions at the bench, and take pride in the finished product, not working with someone constantly looking over your shoulder. Whether you're TIG welding sanitary stainless for food processing equipment, fabricating components for the nuclear industry, or building assemblies used in life-saving medical equipment, your craftsmanship matters. The projects are complex, the standards are high, and the team is tight knit. Every weld leaves the floor knowing it will perform in demanding real-world applications where quality isn't optional. This isn't welding. It's precision craftsmanship on equipment that matters. What You'll Do As a Stainless-Steel Welder at LMC, you'll fabricate, fit, and weld custom stainless-steel assemblies used in food processing, medical, and nuclear industry applications. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to accurately lay out, fit, and weld components. Produce high-quality, X-ray-grade welds on stainless steel, carbon steel, and specialty alloys using qualified welding processes, including GTAW (TIG), FCAW, and GMAW. Perform fit-up, fabrication, and welding activities while consistently meeting customer, code, and quality requirements. Work safely and effectively in a variety of environments, including occasional confined spaces, elevated work areas, and limited-access locations. Collaborate with project leaders, quality personnel, and customers to ensure project requirements, documentation, and quality standards are achieved. Take ownership of workmanship, inspection readiness, and compliance with all applicable safety and quality procedures. What You Need Minimum of 5 years of related experience or technical training. Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and its application to fabrication and welding processes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Skilled in layout and fabrication practices, including hole patterns, penetrations, bend lines, and complex assembly configurations. Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment. Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain capacitive discharge weld stud equipment, or willingness to develop proficiency through training. Advanced knowledge of stainless-steel finishing and polishing techniques, with the ability to achieve specified cosmetic and sanitary surface finish requirements. Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and quality, with a commitment to meeting customer specifications and industry standards. Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
