We are currently searching for a 1st shift Welder apprentice to join our dedicated team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up and perform MIG and TIG welding based on customer specifications. Work from blueprints, drawings and job routers. Conduct in process inspections using a variety of measuring tools to check tolerances. Perform precision grinding to remove excess material and prepare parts for weld repair. Operate hoists and other lifting equipment. Work with appropriate personnel in production control, inspection, supervisors and other employees to maximize quality and productivity. Education and/or
Experience:
Must possess blueprint reading skills, strong math skills, and in-process inspection skills and understand both metric and English measurements. Ability to read weld symbols and pass all weld tests. Must be able to maintain tolerance to engineering and manufacturing specifications. While hoists are provided to assist with lifting, you must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
