Full-Time Join Our Team General ThermoDynamics (GT), an API Heat Transfer Company, is a leading manufacturer of high-quality heat exchangers serving customers across a variety of industries. We are seeking skilled and motivated Steel Welders to join our Iron Ridge manufacturing team on both 1st and 2nd shifts. This position is responsible for performing MIG and TIG welding operations on steel components used in the fabrication of heat exchangers and related assemblies. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel components. Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and welding specifications. Fabricate and assemble components according to engineering drawings and quality requirements. Inspect welded parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Operate welding equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools safely and effectively. Maintain accurate production and quality records as required. Perform rework and repairs when necessary. Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies. Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles. Collaborate with supervisors, quality personnel, and team members to meet production goals. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of 2 years of MIG and/or TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols. Experience working with carbon steel and stainless steel materials. Ability to use measuring devices, including tape measures, calipers, and gauges. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, welding fumes, and moving equipment. Ability to wear required PPE, including welding helmet, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed footwear.
