SUMMARY:
We're looking for a highly skilled Industrial Fabricator with a passion for precision and safety — This is a hands-on role that demands precision, a high level of craftsmanship, and a deep understanding of advanced welding techniques in a production or custom fabrication environment. If you're a detail-driven pro who can read blueprints like a second language and work with a wide range of materials, we want you on our team.
KEY DELIVERABLES
(ESSENTIAL
RESPONSIBILITIES
): Fabrication Perform high-quality MIG and Pulse MIG welding on a variety of metal types and thicknesses Read and interpret complex fabrication drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols Fit, tack, and weld components to specified tolerances and dimensions Fabricate components using various hand and power tools, layout equipment, and jigs/fixtures Perform quality inspections on completed welds, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards Maintain welding equipment, ensuring machines are in proper working condition and configured for optimal weld quality Assist in designing and fabricating custom jigs or fixtures when needed Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and fellow fabricators to resolve design or fabrication challenges Operate fabrication machines such as press brakes, saws, shears, and grinders as needed Work with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Install and repair metal frameworks, structural supports, platforms, and piping. Perform quality checks to ensure welds meet required specifications and standards. Operate forklifts, cranes, and other lifting devices to move heavy components.
Insulation Duties:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
Minimum 5 years of welding/fabrication experience in a manufacturing or custom fabrication environment. Advanced-level MIG welding skills, including Pulse MIG (stainless and carbon steel experience a plus). Proficiency with blueprint reading. Strong metal fitting and layout skills using fabrication tools and measuring instruments. Able to weld in all positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead). Familiarity with common welding codes and standards. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in hot or cold environments. Ability to follow verbal and written work orders. Maintain punctual, consistent attendance.
Preferred:
Forklift and overhead crane operation experience 0 Experience in lean manufacturing or 5S environments Welding program diploma, job-related coursework, or equivalent experience is a plus. 0 OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus. 0 Proficiency with welding techniques and knowledge of metallurgy. 1 Familiarity with industrial insulation practices and materials. 2 o Strong mechanical aptitude and physical stamina.
