Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling structural metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in various welding techniques, blueprint interpretation, and metal fabrication will contribute directly to the successful completion of complex projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction and fabrication tasks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring quality craftsmanship and safety at every step. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine specifications for metal structures. Perform welding using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) techniques according to AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Measure and mark materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise cuts and welds. Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other metal materials utilizing plasma cutters, power tools, and machining equipment. Fabricate structural components by welding, grinding, fitting, and assembling parts in accordance with blueprints and safety protocols. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures, including proper use of hand tools, power tools, and personal protective equipment. Collaborate with team members on construction site or shop floor projects to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Experience Proven experience in construction site environments or fabrication shops involving structural steel or metal fabrication projects. Demonstrated proficiency in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and mechanical blueprint interpretation. Hands-on experience with various welding processes such as
