The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques, fabrication, and blueprint reading, with the ability to work on construction sites or in a manufacturing environment. This role requires mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and adherence to safety standards. The Welder will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with industry codes such as ASME standards. Duties Perform FCAW, and welding on diverse materials including sheet metal and pipe components. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise welds. Operate fabrication equipment such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and rigging tools for assembly and fabrication tasks. Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy. Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment. Conduct quality inspections of welds using calipers, micrometers, and visual testing methods. Follow safety protocols on construction sites or manufacturing facilities to prevent accidents. Maintain a clean work environment and perform routine maintenance on welding equipment. Collaborate with team members on complex fabrication projects involving ductwork, structural steel, or mechanical assemblies. Adhere to ASME codes & standards during fabrication processes to ensure compliance. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site welding or manufacturing environments. Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, and welding techniques. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with rigging, pipe threading, machining, soldering, and assembly processes. Mechanical knowledge of fabrication equipment such as press brake machines and plasma cutters. Experience working with sheet metal and ductwork is preferred. Strong understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts (if certified), and other machinery safely. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding practices is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
