Job Title:
Shift Welder Job Description This role involves welding large structural components using MIG, Flux Core, and Metal Core processes while working from detailed blueprints and weld symbols. You will contribute to high-quality structural fabrication by performing precise multi-pass welds and ensuring all work meets applicable welding standards. Responsibilities Weld large structural components using MIG, Flux Core, and Metal Core processes with a strong focus on quality and consistency. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols to determine weld locations, dimensions, and specifications. Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment to perform multi-pass welds according to project requirements and welding procedures. Fit, position, and align components prior to welding to ensure proper dimensions and structural integrity. Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to applicable standards, including D1.1 requirements. Collaborate with a small team to coordinate workflow, meet production goals, and maintain a safe and efficient work area. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while handling welding equipment, materials, and tools. Maintain a clean, organized work environment and perform basic maintenance on welding equipment as needed. Essential Skills At least 2+ years of experience performing MIG, Flux Core, and Metal Core welding on structural components. Proficiency in MIG welding, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting of welding equipment. Demonstrated experience with Flux Core welding in a production or structural environment. Strong blueprint reading skills, including the ability to interpret weld symbols and fabrication details. D1.1 certified welding experience or equivalent knowledge of D1.1 welding standards. Proven multi-pass welding experience with consistent, high-quality results. Ability to work effectively in a small team environment while meeting production and quality expectations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience welding large structural components in an industrial or fabrication setting. Comfort working with various welding processes, including MIG, Flux Core, and Metal Core. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing precise, structurally sound welds. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work schedules as needed. Why Work Here? The role follows a 1st shift schedule, typically from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with potential flexibility in hours depending on operational needs. The environment is production-oriented, with regular use of MIG, Flux Core, and Metal Core welding equipment and related tools, and emphasizes safe, efficient, and organized work practices. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Neenah, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
