Welder - 1st Shift Job Description This 1st shift welder role focuses on producing high-quality welds on a variety of components and parts while working from blueprints and customer specifications. You will weld on aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel, contributing to precision metal fabrication in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Weld a variety of components and parts according to customer specifications and production requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, product drawings, weld symbols, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Perform MIG welding, TIG welding, and aluminum welding on materials including aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel. Set up and operate welding equipment and common welding tools safely and efficiently. Use measurement tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality of welded parts. Perform metal fabrication tasks such as cutting, fitting, grinding, and finishing metals to meet required standards. Inspect welds and fabricated components for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures and guidelines. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve fabrication or welding issues. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, and aluminum welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, product drawings, weld symbols, and specifications. Ability to read and use measurement tools accurately to verify dimensions and tolerances. Familiarity with common welding tools, equipment, and procedures. Knowledge of metal fabrication operations, capabilities, and equipment. Experience with grinding and finishing metals to achieve required quality. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow established safety practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment. Experience in welding and fabrication of aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel. Comfort working from customer-specific requirements and production schedules. Work Environment You will work in a well-lit manufacturing environment on a 4x10 schedule, with hours from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The role involves hands-on work with welding and fabrication equipment, including MIG and TIG welders, measurement tools, and metal finishing tools. The setting is production-focused, with an emphasis on safety, organization, and teamwork throughout the facility. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Neenah, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
