Job Description

Job Summary

STS Technical Services is now hiring experienced Welders for direct hire positions with a leading manufacturer in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. If you're passionate about precision welding and want to build a career with a company that values craftsmanship and quality, we want to hear from you.

Position Overview

As a Welder, you'll set up, tack, and weld ferrous and nonferrous materials with a focus on structural integrity and visual quality. You'll play a vital role in building large, heavy-duty components that meet exacting specifications for some of the most demanding applications.

Your Impact

Set up, tack, and weld using applicable welding procedure specifications

Work with both ferrous and nonferrous materials to produce high-quality welds

Cut, grind, fit, and bend parts to form accurate weldments

Understand and apply relevant weld inspection criteria and welding codes

Perform testing, inspection, and rework to meet customer and code standards

Collaborate with team members to assemble large structural components

Maintain clean, aesthetically pleasing welds that meet critical application requirements

Follow procedures for weld repairs and part salvage when required

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma (or equivalent) plus formal welding training

GMAW certification or 3-5 years of equivalent hands-on welding experience

Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and welding symbols

Proficient with welding shop tools and measuring devices (calipers, protractors, etc.)

Must pass required welding tests to applicable standards including

AWS, ISO, MIL

STD, and others

Standout Qualifications

Previous experience welding large, heavy-duty industrial equipment

Skilled in welding with stainless steel filler metals and related processes

Pay & Shift Details

Base Pay Upon Hire:

$26.13 per hour

Certified Rate:

$31.76 per hour

Top-Out Rate:

Up to $32.91 per hour

Shift Premiums:

2nd

Shift:

+$0.70/hour

3rd

Shift:

+$0.70/hour
