Structural and Misc. Steel Welder/Fabricator Do you have a passion for welding, creativity and problem solving? National Steel Fabricators, Inc. (NSF) is a well-established metal fabricator supplying structural steel, ornamental, and miscellaneous materials to the construction industry. To support our growth, we are hiring a Welder and Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team near Rice Lake, Wisconsin (10 miles East of Cameron on Hwy. 8).

Job Summary:

The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for fabricating and welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components and assemblies using MIG and/or TIG processes.

Essential Job Functions:

Perform MIG wire feed welding Read and understand blueprints/shop drawings to perform proper welds Grinding and weld finishing Operate fabrication equipment such as press break, shear, drill press, etc. and power and basic hand tools Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move material Help prepare products for inspection and shipment Adhere to company standards for safety and quality - be safety and quality oriented (maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment) Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Experience in structural steel welding; 1 year minimum Understand Drafting Standards, and AWS Welding Symbols Ability to work well with others Good communication skills, both verbal and written Reliable and punctual Proficient with a tape measure Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand/walk for 8-10 hours each day, hold a 10 lb. grinder with ease Preferred Qualifications and Skills Experience welding and fabricating handrail and stairs a plus TIG welding experience a plus Having a Class B CDL a plus; for occasional straight-truck drive to Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area National Steel Fabricators (NSF) is a privately owned company with a Technical Office in New Brighton, Minnesota and a manufacturing facility in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.
