reviews $35•$40 an hour•Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented ASME Code Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise welding operations in accordance with ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes and standards, ensuring the integrity and safety of pressure vessels, piping systems, and structural components. Your expertise will contribute to delivering high-quality, compliant products for various industrial applications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects that demand technical proficiency, safety consciousness, and a passion for craftsmanship. Duties Perform welding operations using
MIG, TIG, FCAW
(Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques on various materials including sheet metal and pipe components. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and press brake machines to shape, measure, and assemble metal parts with precision. Conduct pipe threading, plasma cutting, and sheet metal fabrication in compliance with ASME codes & standards. Set up and operate machinery such as machining tools, plasma cutters, and press brakes to meet project specifications. Follow safety protocols diligently while rigging heavy components with cranes or forklifts during assembly or installation processes. Maintain detailed documentation of welding procedures, inspection reports, and quality control records to ensure compliance with industry standards. Requirements Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of fabrication environments. Certified welder with expertise in
MIG, TIG, FCAW
welding processes; familiarity with welding preferred. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to pressure vessels, piping systems, or structural steel. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in the use of calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and schematics for precise measurements and assembly. Mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, soldering, machining operations, and ductwork fabrication. Experience operating cranes or forklifts safely within construction or manufacturing settings. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Familiarity with plasma cutting equipment and press brake machines is a plus. Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites or manufacturing floors involving rigging and mechanical work.
