Marble Floor Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Marble Floor Technician to elevate the cleanliness and appearance of commercial and residential spaces by expertly maintaining and restoring marble flooring. In this role, you will be responsible for performing detailed cleaning, polishing, and maintenance tasks that ensure marble surfaces remain pristine, durable, and visually stunning. Duties Perform thorough cleaning and maintenance of marble floors using appropriate cleaning agents, tools, and techniques to preserve their natural beauty. Execute polishing and buffing procedures to restore shine and smoothness to marble surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish. Conduct regular inspections of marble flooring to identify signs of wear, damage, or staining, and address issues promptly. Utilize specialized equipment for floor care, including floor scrubbers, polishers, and buffers, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist with general janitorial tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping non-marble surfaces, and maintaining cleanliness in surrounding areas. Follow environmental services standards by using eco-friendly cleaning products and disposing of waste responsibly. Collaborate with custodial teams to ensure consistent quality across all flooring types and maintain a safe working environment. Skills Proven experience in cleaning and maintaining marble or other natural stone floors within commercial or residential settings. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, polishing, sealing, and stain removal specific to marble surfaces. Polishing and Honing using diamond pads Familiarity with carpet cleaning and general janitorial practices enhances overall facility maintenance skills. Ability to operate floor care equipment safely and effectively while adhering to safety guidelines. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying maintenance needs before issues arise. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting maintenance concerns clearly. Prior custodial or environmental services experience is highly desirable for ensuring comprehensive facility upkeep.
