Overview Join our dynamic Marine Service & Retail Store Front Counter team, where your enthusiasm and expertise will drive exceptional customer experiences and ensure smooth operations. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to combine technical knowledge with customer service skills in a fast-paced, engaging environment. You will be the first point of contact for customers seeking service solutions, marine parts, and accessories, helping them find the right products and scheduling repairs or maintenance. Your energy and proactive approach will contribute to a vibrant team dedicated to excellence on the water. Responsibilities Greet customers and assist with their service inquiries and marine parts orders, both in person and over the phone Provide detailed product information, upsell relevant accessories or services, and promote ongoing maintenance packages Manage retail transactions accurately through cash handling and point-of-sale systems Schedule service appointments Support technicians by preparing work orders, explaining repair estimates, and ensuring parts availability Maintain a clean, organized front counter area and retail display to enhance customer experience Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely completion of repairs Keep detailed records of customer interactions, sales transactions, and service requests Skills Proven dealership experience or service management background with a strong understanding of boating is a huge plus Hands-on mechanic experience with knowledge of boat maintenance is helpful but not required Excellent customer service and people skills are essential Familiarity with software and service writing procedures to accurately document repairs and communicate estimates Mechanical knowledge of marine systems combined with strong problem-solving skills for diagnostics and repairs is helpful Ability to multitask is essential Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a professional demeanor in a fast-paced setting This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in the marine trades while delivering outstanding customer experiences.
