Store Manager/ General Manager t
Location:
Dubuque, IA (Onsite) About the Role We are seeking a hands-on Store Manager / General Manager to take full ownership of store operations, sales performance, inventory management, and team leadership within a high-volume retail environment. This role is ideal for a results-driven leader experienced in high-ticket, commission-based sales environments who can drive revenue growth while optimizing day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities Operations Management Oversee daily store operations, including sales floor, warehouse, inventory flow, and deliveries Ensure efficient execution of processes and procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and fully operational store environment Sales Leadership Lead, coach, and develop a commission-based sales team Set and enforce daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets Train staff on closing techniques, upselling, and customer engagement Drive revenue growth and increase average ticket size Inventory & Merchandising Manage inbound inventory, including receiving, pricing, and merchandising Ensure inventory is processed and available on the sales floor within 24 hours Monitor inventory levels, aging, and turnover Optimize product placement to maximize sales performance Logistics & Deliveries Oversee delivery scheduling, staging, and execution Ensure timely and accurate customer deliveries Resolve operational and fulfillment-related issues Team Leadership & Development Recruit, train, and manage store personnel Establish clear expectations, roles, and accountability Foster a high-performance, results-driven culture Address performance issues and drive continuous improvement Financial & Performance Management Track and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), including: Sales per employee Inventory turnover Close rates Margins Identify opportunities to improve revenue and operational efficiency Qualifications 3-5+ years of leadership experience in Automotive dealerships (GM, GSM, Sales Manager, F&I), OR RV dealerships, OR Furniture or high-ticket retail environments, OR Commission-based sales organizations Proven track record of driving sales and operational performance Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team management abilities Results-oriented with a focus on revenue growth Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Hands-on, proactive approach to leadership Not a
