Job Description
An Astoria-based General Contracting firm is currently seeking a full-time Marketing Assistant. The Marketing Assistant supports the execution of marketing and communication initiatives that promote Mega's projects, people and brand. This role is responsible for producing and maintaining a variety of internal and external marketing materials, coordinating recurring deliverables, and ensuring accuracy and consistency across all platforms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, creative, and able to manage multiple projects on a recurring schedule.
Responsibilities Marketing Brochures:
Develop, update, and maintain key marketing materials that highlight Mega's projects, team, and capabilities.Custom Presentations:
Design and create tailored presentations for different departments, projects, and initiatives, translating complex information into clear, visually engaging formats.Newsletter Creation & Distribution:
Create, review, and distribute the monthly Newsletter.Company Videos:
Produce, finalize and distribute marketing videos to internal and external audiences, like annual holiday video and project videos.Data Gathering & Visualization:
Collect and organize company data, project information, and team experience. Prepare narratives, charts, and graphics to effectively communicate insights across marketing materials and presentations.Digital Materials/Ads:
Design and produce journal ads (digital, print or text-only) for events, galas, or workshops.Project Site Photography:
Oversee and engage third-party photographers for project and event photos. Occasionally, travel to job sites to photograph ongoing and completed projects as needed, capturing content for use in marketing materials, presentations, and digital platforms.Print Marketing Materials:
Prepare and print marketing materials, ensuring high-quality production and timely distribution for internal and external audiences.Mega Gear:
Design, order, and manage branded Mega Gear for company events and departmental needs upon request.Website Updates:
Prepare and update project information on Mega's website to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent representation of company work. Assist in revamping the company website.Expense and Budget Tracking:
Track and manage marketing invoices and expenses, support budget monitoring, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting. Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear and professional marketing content. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple recurring and ad-hoc projects. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and comfortable working with shared drives and document management systems. Experience with design and marketing tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar platforms). Ability to collaborate across departments and work effectively with executive-level staff. Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 1-3 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or administrative support role.Benefits:
