Job Description

Primary Objective The primary objective of the Marketing Fieldsman is to observe and identify the designated animals that are ready for market according to EFI standards. Knowledge/Skills/Ability Basic reading and writing skills Basic computer skills Effective English communication skills Must function as a team player Wean-finish experience a plus Valid driver license and good driving record Physical Job Requirements Frequent lifting of 5lbs up to 45lbs Occasional lifting in excess of 25lbs up to 75lbs Requires lots of physical movements such as bending, stretching, walking, squatting, and working on your feet. Requires ability to drive extensively in a safe manner during all weather conditions. Work Environment Inside of swine finishing barns. Interaction with live animals Exposed to the seasons dust and pollen Primary Responsibilities Keep open communication with growers and fellow employees involved in the marketing process. Identify and communicate any swine health or maintenance issues that need to be addressed to appropriate individuals. Mark pigs within designated weight range for market Keeping company vehicle clean and maintained Keep Director of Marketing informed of any issues that arise. Other Responsibilities Follow all biosecurity protocols in place to maintaining operations disease-free Follow safety protocols while performing every task Comply with animal welfare policies Must be willing and able to receive and respond to text messages and e-mail in a timely manner. Regular and consistent attendance Maintain valid PQA certification Compensation based on experience and education. Will train the right person!
