About Us Food Trade News and Food World are trusted media brands serving the grocery, food retail, and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries for more than 80 years. More than a mere trade publication, we connect retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, brokers, distributors, and service providers through industry-leading journalism, print publications, digital newsletters, and online media platforms. As we expand our digital products and audience reach, we are seeking an experienced sales professional to lead the growth of our digital advertising and sponsorship business. Position Overview We need a jet engine. We are looking for a highly motivated E-Commerce & Digital Advertising Sales Executive with experience in grocery, CPG, retail media, digital publishing, or related B2B industries. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing advertising systems & partnerships across our growing portfolio of printed and digital products; including website advertising, newsletter sponsorships, sponsored content, webinars, and integrated marketing programs. The ideal candidate understands both the grocery ecosystem and the evolving digital marketing landscape, and can confidently engage marketing leaders, media buyers, brand managers, agency partners, and executive decision-makers. Key Responsibilities Sell digital advertising solutions across Food Trade News and Food World platforms - filling up all available ad slots. Prospect new accounts and relevant industry advertisers. Develop sponsorship programs for email newsletters, not just placements Generate revenue from website display advertising, sponsored content, native advertising, webinars, and custom marketing initiatives. Build and maintain relationships with CPG manufacturers, brokers, distributors, technology providers, service firms, and retail organizations. Create integrated campaigns that combine digital, print, and event opportunities. Collaborate with editorial and leadership to help develop new revenue-generating products. Stay informed on grocery industry trends, retail media developments, and digital advertising best practices. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in digital advertising sales, media sales, retail media, e-commerce advertising, or related B2B sales. Experience working within the grocery, food, retail, CPG, or trade publishing sectors strongly preferred. Established networks of marketing, advertising, or media decision-makers within the industry is a significant advantage. Proven sales track record Strong understanding of email marketing, display advertising, sponsored content, lead generation, and audience targeting. Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Self-starter capable of managing a sales schedule with minimal supervision. We are in the process of digitalization from an older print publishing business, and the opportunities for growth and a long-term, stable work environment are huge for the right individual. Within the first 6 months, the successful candidate will build a consistent pipeline of digital advertisers, increase newsletter sponsorship revenue, expand website advertising utilization, and help establish Food Trade News as a leading digital marketing platform for the grocery and CPG industries.
