Job Description

Base Salary:
225,000 Annually + Benefits About you: You've built a great online brand. Now what? What would you have done differently if you had started with AI? If your answers focus on improving quality, and you have the experience and definitions to help us get there, we'd love to hear from you. As a VP of eCommerce and Marketing at Ross Commerce, you'll own the end-to-end evolution of our product: successful listings and all that goes into them. This is an opportunity to help build the agency of the future. Here, you'd report to a CEO who is deeply invested in human potential and the unlocks that AI brings. Who Are We? Ross Commerce started in the catalog industry and transitioned early to eCommerce. Now, more than 30 years later, we use AI, code, and process to elevate human connection, tell better brand stories, and drive more traffic at scale. We do this for partners who pour their energy into great products and trust us to win on Amazon, Walmart, Wayfair, and the marketplaces their customers are turning to next. Most of the industry is content using technology to commoditize brands and cut costs. We see an opportunity to take market share by raising consumer expectations. That is the next chapter of e-commerce and shopping. We need your hands-on talent, curiosity, and grit as we write what comes next.
Responsibilities Include:
Product Presentation:
Design winning listings at scale. Architect the research and merchandising guidelines that help tell a connected story. The listing is our product. You own its development and lifecycle, raising the bar with each release.
Listing Optimization:
Systematize the art of refinement. Stay ahead of the seasonal and category shifts in search and buying behaviors to ensure our products rank with agents and algorithms, while increasing customer conversion.
Traffic Generation:
Own the demand strategy that drives influence and profitable growth. Direct retail media and promotional instruments across winners and your strategic bets. Set the targets, track performance, and build the reporting that turns results into rising partner investment.
Marketplace Growth:
Use deep marketplace mastery to configure each partner for success. Adapt to platform changes, keeping an eye on the features and new marketplaces that can be turned into growth plays. Develop the corresponding plan, the partner pitch, and the process that makes the feature manageable and profitable.
Systems and Insights:
Fuel a continuous experimentation pipeline that proves what is working and what has stopped working: new keywords, image order, the new ad mechanism a platform just shipped. Turn every finding into context and skills the entire team can use to elevate our standard.
Market Expansion:
Build demand for the agency itself. Create the pull with our website and social presence, then curate the funnel and the case studies that convert it into new partners. This list represents a career's worth of work. What makes this a VP role is your ability to use sound judgment. You'll apply these skills to leverage our existing AI and data foundation, one high-value project at a time. Here you have the freedom to set projects aside while you focus on the challenges that matter most, knowing that each quarter brings a new choice. This is a long-term, full-time position. We're looking for: Curiosity and kindness: you learn ahead of need, teach what you know, and raise the standard of everyone around you. 5+ years of hands-on eCommerce experience across platforms like Amazon, Home Depot, Walmart, Wayfair, and more.
Listings you are proud of:
the story they tell, the A+ content, the variation architecture, and the detail-page conversion numbers that prove they win. Experience with Adobe Suite and a clear understanding of how professional imagery works inside a marketing department. Retail media experience from strategy to execution and budget management: Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and DSP.
Social commerce expertise:
TikTok Shop, influencer relationships, and an eye for the UGC that converts. Demonstrated ability to use Helium 10 and other tools to match keyword intent to products and build customer connections. AI-native. You work with Claude daily and understand the challenges and benefits. Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with a sharp eye for structure and process.
