ABOUT THE ROLE
The PR Manager (US) is responsible for executing public relations strategy across all Museum of Illusions corporate locations in the United States and Australia. Working under the direction of the Global PR Director, this role owns the day-to-day delivery of PR activity, managing agency relationships, building media connections, coordinating press opportunities and supporting new location openings on the ground.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO US PR
Strategy Execution Execute the US PR strategy as defined in collaboration with the Global PR Director, ensuring plans are delivered on time and to a high standard. Contribute local market knowledge and insights to inform the broader global PR strategy. Identify relevant US audiences, media opportunities and community partnerships that support MOI's brand objectives. Agency Management Manage day-to-day relationship with PR agencies, providing clear direction aligned with the strategic priorities set by the Global PR Director. Monitor agency output and performance, reporting progress and flagging concerns to the Global PR Director. Support the Global PR Director in evaluating agency effectiveness and contributing to agency selection processes when applicable. Media & Community Relations Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with US media outlets, journalists and community partners. Coordinate and manage media opportunities including press meetings, media events, FAM trips, trade shows and on-site activations. Plan and manage VIP visits, media tours, on-site filming, photoshoots, interviews and radio remotes across US locations. Collaborate with local tourism boards and community organizations to develop long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. Location Openings & Events Support the Global PR Director in the planning and execution of new US location openings, taking ownership of local logistics, media outreach and on-the-ground coordination. Assist in delivering opening event programming, ensuring local press, influencers and community partners are engaged and well-managed. Serve as the primary on-site PR contact at new opening events across the US. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with digital and social media teams to ensure consistent messaging across US channels and support influencer relations. Work alongside Sales, Marketing, Operations and other internal teams to align US communications with organizational objectives. Develop talking points and communications materials for US-based staff and local executives, ensuring they are well-prepared for media interactions. Reporting & Crisis Communications Contribute to PR performance reporting, providing regular updates on US media coverage, campaign activity and agency performance to the Global PR Director. Support crisis communications and urgent media inquiries in the US, in close coordination with the Global PR Director and CMO. Manage relationships and contracts with US-based service providers.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING ALONG
Experience in public relations, ideally with exposure to multi-location or consumer brand PR. Proven ability to manage PR agency relationships and deliver results through agency partners. Strong media relations skills with an existing or demonstrable ability to build US media networks. Excellent written and verbal communications skills; comfortable creating content for a range of formats and audiences. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Experience supporting events or location openings is an advantage. A collaborative team player who works well within a globally distributed organization. Physical Requirements/Demands Must be able to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard, use a laptop and other office equipment. Must be able to ascend/descend flights of stairs. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch, and squat. Must be able to properly express oneself, exchange information, communicate and converse with diverse cultures, races, and sexes. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must be able to use sight to detect, determine, perceive, observe, inspect, and assess situations
