None About the Fellowship The NextGen Civic Leadership Fellowship is a hands-on leadership and professional development experience supporting the Waitman-Powell with Peoria campaign. Designed for emerging leaders interested in civic engagement, communications, public service, community leadership, marketing, fundraising and campaigns, the fellowship provides participants with an opportunity to gain practical experience while developing transferable professional skills. No previous campaign or political experience is required. Fellowship Tracks Applicants may express interest in one or more areas: Digital Communications Support digital storytelling, social media, content development and campaign communications. Finance & Fundraising Gain exposure to campaign fundraising, donor engagement, fundraising strategy and campaign finance operations. Community Engagement Help strengthen relationships with residents, community organizations, stakeholders and neighborhoods throughout Peoria. Marketing & Events Support campaign events, community appearances, outreach initiatives, marketing and event execution. Fellows Will Gain
