Our enterprise solutions help the grid absorb the coming electrification wave with ease. Utilizing modern, cloud-native platform architecture and robust systems optimization, WeaveGrid's software is built from the ground up to tackle the most critical network challenges while meeting the stringent regulatory, security, and reliability requirements of the utility industry. About the Role We are looking for a strategic, hands-on marketing leader to help define and scale the next phase of WeaveGrid's B2B marketing function. This person will lead a broad marketing portfolio spanning positioning, product marketing, brand, communications, content, events, sales enablement, and targeted demand generation. This role also plays a key part in supporting fundraising and investor-facing communications, ensuring WeaveGrid's narrative is well-positioned with the investment community. This is a high-impact role for someone who can both shape strategy and execute with excellence. You will work closely with leaders across the executive team, Sales, Partnerships, Policy, Product, and Client Success to clarify how WeaveGrid shows up in the market and ensure our marketing directly supports enterprise growth. The ideal candidate is a strong B2B marketer and exceptional communicator who can translate complex technical, regulatory, and commercial topics into clear market narratives, compelling sales materials, and campaigns that reach the right utility, automotive, regulatory, and partner audiences. Core Responsibilities Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Strategic Marketing & Positioning:
Lead WeaveGrid's market narrative, messaging, and strategic marketing priorities Refine WeaveGrid's company narrative, category story, and differentiated positioning Develop clear messaging for utility, automotive, regulatory, partner, investor, and executive audiences Translate complex topics, including managed charging, grid flexibility, OEM integrations, customer enrollment, distribution value, and utility program design, into compelling market-facing narrativesProduct Marketing & Sales Enablement:
Build the materials and messaging that help WeaveGrid's commercial teams win Create and maintain core sales and BD materials in partnership with RevOps, including pitch decks, solution briefs, case studies, one-pagers, RFP language, competitive narratives, and executive leave-behinds Partner with Product, Sales, Partnerships, Policy, and Client Success to package WeaveGrid's capabilities, customer outcomes, program launches, and proof points Support go-to-market strategy for new products, partnerships, integrations, utility programs, and market expansions Develop messaging, collateral, and competitive intelligence, including positioning benchmarks and battlecards, that help move strategic accounts through long, complex enterprise buying cyclesBrand, Communications & Thought Leadership:
Ensure WeaveGrid shows up consistently and credibly in the market Build and manage a focused content strategy tied to priority accounts, market moments, policy developments, industry events, and commercial goals Turn internal expertise into external thought leadership, including articles, reports, webinars, conference narratives, LinkedIn content, speaking abstracts, and executive bylines Partner with external agency support on media strategy, announcements, award submissions, and communications planning Support company and partner announcements, customer launches, conference moments, and other market-facing communicationsEvents, Campaigns & Targeted Demand Generation:
Build programs that reach and influence high-value audiences Shape WeaveGrid's event and conference strategy, including messaging, speaker preparation, collateral, follow-up, and account engagement; Manage conference opportunities, including speaking abstract submissions, panel preparation, and company representation at select industry events Develop and distribute targeted campaigns across email, LinkedIn, partner channels, webinars, events, and sales outreach Track performance and use learnings to improve future marketing programsMarketing Operations & Cross-Functional Execution:
Bring structure and focus to a lean, high-impact marketing function Create lightweight processes for launches, content planning, event execution, campaign follow-up, and sales enablement Manage agency, freelance, and contractor support where needed Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution across a broad range of marketing needs About You You are a strategic, hands-on B2B marketer who thrives in complex markets. You are energized by translating technical and commercial complexity into clear, compelling narratives that help companies win. You can move from positioning strategy to a sales deck to a launch plan to an executive op-ed without losing momentum. You are excited to help build the marketing function for a company operating at the center of electrification, grid modernization, and the clean energy transition. 8+ years of experience in B2B marketing, product marketing, strategic communications, GTM marketing, or related roles Experience in enterprise SaaS, climate tech, energy, mobility, infrastructure, utilities, automakers, or another complex technical or regulated market Strong product marketing instincts, including positioning, messaging, launch planning, sales enablement, and proof-point development Excellent writing and storytelling skills for executive, technical, and commercial audiences Experience across several marketing disciplines, such as brand, communications, content, events, campaigns, demand generation, and sales enablement Ability to operate strategically and hands-on in a lean, fast-moving environment Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and comfort working with executives, sales, partnerships, policy, product, client success, and technical teams Good judgment about what marketing work matters commercially Preferred Qualifications Experience marketing to utilities, automakers, and energy companies Familiarity with EV charging, distributed energy resources, demand response, virtual power plants, load flexibility, grid planning, or customer energy programs Experience supporting RFPs, enterprise sales cycles, strategic partnerships, or account-based marketing Experience in external communications, including media relations, press strategy, executive communications, or agency management. Experience working with PR agencies, events teams, freelancers, or external content partners Experience helping executives develop thought leadership and market-facing narratives Previous success in a high-growth start-up or scaling B2B company The total compensation for this opportunity includes a base salary range of $115,000 - 175,000, plus equity and benefits. This is our target compensation range and is subject to multiple factors including role, level, experience, and location. Please note that WeaveGrid may not necessarily hire individuals at or near the top of the base salary range. As you go through our interview process, our recruiter and hiring manager will work with you to identify a competitive base salary within the proposed range and combine it with an equity package to get you excited about your future at WeaveGrid.
