Job Description
In conjunction with the GC and other senior leaders help to define and execute the corporate communication strategy for Doncasters in support of the group's strategic priorities, with a specific focus on developing and delivering internal communications and ensuring that internal communication channels are effective and fit for purpose. Provide communication support across the sites and functions with internal and external communication activities, including ownership of the group website and oversight of the group's social media. Help define and execute a communications strategy to support the Group's Strategic Priorities and the Leadership Team's vision. To maintain, support and develop a range of communications channels to continually improve the effectiveness of the communication cascade to all colleagues across the group, including but not limited to site cascade communication such as Town Halls, the Doncasters Connection mobile app, use of SharePoint and SMS service. Support Executives with various stakeholder communication activities, including monthly internal Leadership calls. Support the senior leadership with the creation of annual stakeholder reporting, such as the Annual Report, and ESG Report. Support the various HQ support teams, (HR, EHS, IT, Legal, Finance) with communications to support and promote their various strategies and priorities. To assist and, where possible, upskill colleagues in the development of internal and external communications and communication plans in support of various local and group projects and activities. Maintain, protect and develop the corporate brand guidelines, standards, templates and training materials. Act as the first line of support for press and media interest, ensuring the correct level of internal legal and stakeholder approval is acquired before any response is given as well as maintain a media monitoring service. Write/ edit, publish and distribute press and other communication releases in support of corporate strategy, support of commercial team activity, activities at site ensuring the appropriate approvals. Provide change communication advice and plans in support of organizational change (culture, organization etc). Provide crisis communications support as needed, in line with the company crisis communication plan. Assist in the development of that plan as necessary Maintain the group website content to ensure that it is up to date and fit for purpose, liaising with internal commercial contacts as necessary. Ensure the online contact form is maintained and working and, with the support of an external provider, manage the hosting and maintenance, ensuring that it passes annual IT security tests. Have oversight of the group's social media, ensuring brand compliance and a high standard of content, in particular assisting the commercial and recruitment teams. Assist in the organization of events as required.
