This role focuses on fostering leadership, character development, and meaningful engagement through Club-based programming, school partnerships, and special events. The Manager will play a key role in building strong relationships with teens and creating a safe, inclusive, and dynamic environment aligned with BGCRE's mission. Key Responsibilities Leadership Clubs Lead and facilitate Torch Clubs at John Read Middle School (JRMS) and Helen Keller Middle School (HKMS), focusing on service, leadership, and community engagement Lead and grow the Keystone Club for high school students, supporting leadership development, service projects, and college/career readiness Teen Engagement & Events Plan, promote, and execute Teen Nights and other special events that attract and retain teen participation After-School Programming Provide coverage and supervision for middle and high school after-school hangouts Build strong relationships with members, serving as a positive role model and mentor School & Community Partnerships Collaborate with school administrators and staff at JRMS, HKMS, and Joel Barlow High School Partner with the Barlow Career Center to support career exploration, job readiness, and workforce development opportunities for teens Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, youth development, recreation, or related field (or equivalent experience) Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Experience working with middle and high school youth with ability to build meaningful relationships with teens and serve as a positive role model Experience with program planning and event coordination preferred Passion for youth development and commitment to the BGCRE mission Schedule Primarily afternoon and occasional evening hours to align with after-school and teen programming Occasional weekends for events and special programs Key Competencies Youth engagement and relationship-building Leadership development and mentoring Program planning and execution Collaboration and community partnership development Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills Impact This role is critical to strengthening BGCRE's teen programming by creating meaningful opportunities for leadership, connection, and growth—ensuring that tweens and teens feel supported, inspired, and empowered to reach their full potential.
