KOTRA Washington is seeking a Research Associate to support the successful planning and execution of a defense industry forum and to contribute to enhancing U.S.-Korea trade cooperation in the defense sector. Candidates will be contacted individually upon resume review For further inquiries: (2) Description of the Job Support the planning, execution, and follow-up of a defense industry forum scheduled for June, including coordination with stakeholders and preparation of deliverables. Support procurement, energy project and marketing related to defense Industry (3) Core Responsibilities Assist in preparation for the defense industry forum (June), including logistics, materials, and coordination with participants Support on-site event operations and management Conduct follow-up tasks such as drafting event reports and summarizing outcomes Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders (government, industry, etc.) Provide administrative and research support related to defense industry topics as needed (4)
Basic Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., international relations, business, public administration, etc.)
Language:
Full professional proficiency in English and Korean (both written and spoken) Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight timelines Interest in defense industry and international trade is preferred Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Must not have any restrictions on overseas travel under the Immigration Control Act of the Republic of Korea (5)
Details Contract Period:
May 25 - July 24 (approx. 2 months)
Working Hours:
Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Federal holidays + 1 vacation day per full month of attendance (6) Posting Period 2026-05-12 ~ 2026-05-18
