Job Description

Purpose To direct, support, and implement various programs and projects within Community Engagement. Primary focus will be to design, manage and coordinate the Extended Day Program for Lower School and Middle School in addition to supporting the Community Engagement department. Essential Job Functions Supports the School's mission statement and the philosophy of the department and adheres to School policies and procedures, including but not limited to what is outlined in the Faculty and Staff Employee Handbook Directs and manages Extended Day program for all students Generates revenue programs to enhance opportunities for Community Engagement Interviews and hires staff (internal and external); supervises and evaluates after-school staff and assigns responsibilities Assesses and acquires needs of the programs and purchases activity supplies and equipment Conducts orientation for staff Provides support to all Community Engagement programs Utilizes online registration system for enrollment, billing and reporting Communicates, mediates, resolves, and documents employee, parent, staff, and student/camper concerns Coordinates program operations as necessary with divisions and departments Communicates with the Health Office and HR regarding on campus accidents associated with programming Collaborates with the logistics and organization of all campus programs with the department Acts in loco parentis to students throughout the day and supervises students, including but not limited to, during arrival and dismissal, carline and buses, playground, cafeteria, and hallways Models and promotes respect for the diversity of student backgrounds, experiences, developmental needs, and learning approaches Creates a safe, caring, and engaging environment that fosters well-being and maintains respectful and responsible behavior for each student consistent with the philosophy, values and mission of the school Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Department Supervisor or their designee Job Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree, required Master's degree preferred Experience and Qualifications 2 years' experience in a school or working with children and families Experience supervising staff Experience managing and implementing programming Proficiency with Google Suites required Certifications and Licenses CPR Certification required
