Our mission is to help young people achieve academic success, develop life skills, and build confidence through positive learning and recreational opportunities. Position Summary NMB Organization is seeking a motivated, organized, and community-minded Program & Operations Manager to oversee and support the daily operations of our youth programs. This individual will play a key leadership role in coordinating sports and tutoring activities, supervising volunteers and instructors, ensuring educational goals are met, conducting community outreach, and supporting fundraising and resource development efforts. The ideal candidate is passionate about youth development, nonprofit work, and building strong community partnerships that help expand opportunities for local youth. Key Responsibilities Program Management & Educational Oversight ∙Coordinate and oversee youth sports, tutoring, and enrichment programs. ∙Ensure programs are organized, scheduled, and operating effectively. ∙Monitor student participation, attendance, and program outcomes. ∙Work with tutors and instructors to establish and monitor learning objectives. ∙Assist in ensuring students are making progress toward academic and developmental goals. ∙Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance student engagement and success. ∙Plan and coordinate special events, workshops, and youth activities. Staff & Volunteer Coordination ∙Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers. ∙Assist with supervising tutors, coaches, instructors, and program staff. ∙Foster a positive, collaborative, and mission-driven environment. ∙Maintain regular communication with volunteers, staff, and families. Community Outreach & Partnership Development ∙Build relationships with schools, community organizations, businesses, and local leaders. ∙Represent NMB Organization at community events and networking opportunities. ∙Promote programs and increase community awareness and participation. ∙Develop partnerships that support organizational growth and youth development initiatives. Fundraising & Resource Development ∙Assist in identifying funding opportunities and community resources. ∙Support fundraising campaigns, donation drives, and fundraising events. ∙Help secure sponsorships, donations, and in-kind contributions. ∙Research grant opportunities and assist with grant preparation and submission. ∙Support efforts to increase the organization's sustainability and impact. Administrative & Operational Support ∙Maintain program records, reports, and participant data. ∙Assist with budgeting, planning, and resource management. ∙Help ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures. ∙Provide regular updates, reports, and recommendations to organizational leadership. Qualifications ∙Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. ∙Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities. ∙Experience in nonprofit organizations, education, youth programs, sports programs, community outreach, or volunteer management preferred. ∙Experience working with children and youth strongly preferred. ∙Fundraising, grant-writing, or volunteer coordination experience is a plus. ∙Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and online communication tools. ∙Passion for serving youth and strengthening the community. Schedule ∙Approximately 10 hours per week. ∙Flexible schedule. ∙Occasional evening and weekend availability may be required for events, programs, and fundraising activities.
