AchievePoint Florida in Kissimme, FL is seeking a FT Community and External Engagement Liaison at Main Street High School.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Community and External Engagement Liaison to serve as a vital bridge between our organization and the communities we serve. In this role, you will develop and nurture relationships with community partners, manage outreach initiatives, and promote our mission through strategic communication and public engagement efforts. Your enthusiasm for community involvement and exceptional communication skills will drive meaningful connections that support student success. Compliance, Documentation & Audit Readiness Maintain a robust database of contacts including elected officials, civic leaders, and community resource providers Maintain a yearlong calendar of enrollment and outreach events that will actively promote the school and programs available Maintain and track all engagement touchpoints. Prepare detailed program timetables and production schedules for large-scale community and school events to ensure alignment with safety and school policies. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure community-donated resources and materials are collected, documented, and approved. Assessment and Placement Facilitate recurring planning sessions with area high school counselors and teachers to create a pipeline for potential students and explain CTE program options. Assist Enrollment Coordinator with enrolling students at various community sites, conducting "on-the-spot" initial meetings to ensure a smooth transition into the school program. Track and analyze enrollment data to identify underserved neighborhoods or demographics; troubleshoot enrollment barriers through targeted program outreach. Assist Enrollment Coordinator with specialized orientation programs for new and returning students to ensure they are integrated into the school's academic and social climate. Instructional Support & Staff Capacity Building Partner with the assigned school principal to align community engagement efforts with the school's instructional mission. Assist with therecruitment, training, and management of teams of Student Recruiters, ensuring they are well-versed in the school's "product advantages" and instructional design. Provide staff with insights and resources gathered from community engagement to help teachers better understand and support the local student population. Oversee school-wide branding during functions, ensuring all public-facing content accurately represents the school's mission and academic rigor. Data Monitoring and Student Progress Design and lead outreach campaigns specifically intended to increase awareness of school programs and Career & Technical Education (CTE) opportunities. Support initiatives that promote student attendance and academic success by fostering a positive, "enrollment & retention focused" climate. Organize and execute high-visibility school events (Graduations, Prom) that celebrate student progress and build school community pride. Monitor the success of different outreach channels (social media vs. in-person events) to refine the school's engagement strategy. Organize and execute major school milestones, including academic assemblies, prom, and graduation ceremonies, ensuring they celebrate student achievement. Build and maintain a comprehensive database of community, civic, and professional contacts through regional involvement. Communication & District Liaison Serve as the primary point of contact for local government, civic groups, and surrounding neighborhoods; represent the school at Chambers of Commerce and religious organizations. Create high-impact social media content and promotional materials (flyers, brochures, REMIND announcements) to drive program interest and community awareness. Act as the "visual storyteller" by capturing photos and videos that showcase school activities; Maintain in-house student announcements for transparent communication. Proactively cultivate partnerships with local businesses and professional organizations to expand student internship and employment opportunities. Any other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in related field 3+ Years' experience in community outreach, public relations, or community management roles in K-12 or higher education or Non-Profit sector Strong media relations skills with experience in social media management and marketing strategies Excellent public speaking, presentation, and written communication skills Ability to travel within Florida Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and planning purposes Demonstrated project management abilities with organizational skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously Bilingual abilities are a plus; fluency in additional languages enhances outreach effectiveness Both Achieve Learning and AchievePoint Florida will extend equal employment and advancement opportunities to all qualified individuals regardless of their race, color, religion, creed, age (40 and over), sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, disability, national origin, ethnic background, genetic information (including of a family member), past, current, or prospective military service, and/or citizenship, or any other classification protected by applicable local, state or federal law.
