The Account Manager is a core client-facing leadership role within Shamin Abas Associates, responsible for the strategic delivery and day-to-day management of PR and communications programs for premium and ultra-luxury brands, with specialized focus on the automotive and marine sectors. This role exists to lead high-value client relationships with confidence and credibility, translate brand ambition into clear PR strategy and execution, protect SAA's standards across messaging, media engagement, and delivery, manage and develop Account Coordinators, and contribute commercially through retention, growth, and reputation building. The Account Manager serves as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, building trusted partnerships with senior executives while ensuring flawless campaign execution. This is a mid-level role designed for professionals with 3-5 years of experience who are ready to take ownership of client success, mentor junior team members, and demonstrate both strategic thinking and operational excellence.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Leadership & Account Management Act as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, building trusted relationships with founders, CEOs, CMOs, and senior executives Immerse yourself in clients' worlds and ambitions, understanding their business objectives, competitive landscape, and brand vision Lead client calls, meetings, and status updates with clarity, confidence, and strategic insight Represent clients professionally at marine and automotive shows, FAM trips, managing on-the-ground media interviews, executive briefings, and other industry engagements Translate client objectives into structured PR strategies and delivery plans that drive measurable results Manage expectations while protecting scope, standards, and timelines to ensure sustainable client relationships PR Strategy & Campaign Delivery Develop and execute integrated PR strategies across print, digital, social, and experiential channels Shape narratives that reflect craftsmanship, performance, heritage, and innovation appropriate for ultra-luxury audiences Oversee campaign calendars, messaging frameworks, and launch plans with meticulous attention to timing and coordination Ensure all outputs meet elevated standards for tone, accuracy, and discretion expected in luxury brand communications Monitor campaign performance and adjust tactics to optimize results and client satisfaction Media & Industry Engagement Build and maintain relationships with journalists across marine, automotive, and luxury lifestyle sectors Conceptualize and pitch stories, features, product launches, and thought leadership opportunities Identify and secure media coverage, awards, and speaking opportunities that elevate client visibility Maintain awareness of industry trends, launch cycles, and market dynamics within SAA's specialized sectors Develop understanding of key industry events including boat shows, auto shows, regattas, and concours events Team Leadership & Development Line-manage Account Coordinators and junior team members, providing clear direction and constructive feedback Delegate effectively while maintaining quality standards and accountability Coach team members on writing quality, strategic judgment, and prioritization Reduce dependency on senior leadership through strong ownership and independent decision-making Foster a collaborative, learning-oriented team environment aligned with SAA values Commercial & Account Growth Support account retention through excellent delivery, proactive communication, and trusted client relationships Identify opportunities for scope expansion and cross-service collaboration Contribute to proposals, pricing discussions, and strategic planning Internal Excellence & Collaboration Maintain clean internal documentation, reporting systems, and project tracking Collaborate positively across teams and contribute to agency culture Model calm execution, discretion, and excellence in all professional interactions 3-5 years in PR, communications, or account management, ideally within luxury, lifestyle, automotive, or marine sectors Proven experience managing premium or luxury brand clients with professionalism and discretion Demonstrated ability to develop and execute integrated PR campaigns across multiple channels Strong media relations track record with tier-1 and specialist publications Experience representing brands at industry events, trade shows, or launches (marine and/or automotive preferred) Line management or mentorship experience with junior team members Industry Knowledge Understanding of luxury brand positioning, messaging, and audience sensibilities Familiarity with marine and/or automotive industry landscape, media outlets, and key influencers Awareness of show calendars, launch cycles, and industry events (boat shows, auto shows, regattas, concours events) Ability to speak credibly about craftsmanship, performance, technology, design, and heritage Skills & Capabilities Exceptional written and verbal communication skills appropriate for luxury brand communications Confident and polished in client-facing situations and high-pressure environments Strategic thinker with strong organizational and project management abilities Skilled at managing multiple accounts, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously Commercially aware with understanding of budgets, scope, and profitability Proficiency with media monitoring tools (Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack) and project management systems Self-starter who takes ownership and operates with the Experience at a boutique luxury PR agency or in-house at a prestigious luxury brand Specialized knowledge in marine (superyachts, sailing, performance vessels) or automotive (heritage marques, supercars, hypercars, electric vehicles) sectors Track record of securing coverage in benchmark luxury publications (Robb Report, FT, Wall Street Journal, duPontREGISTRY, BOAT
International, WatchTime, Architectural Digest) Experience managing award submissions or executive visibility programs Background in luxury event activation or experiential programming a plus Degree in PR, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field Established relationships within marine or automotive media and industry networksCAREER PATH AT SAA
