DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Oversees and facilitates partnerships and alliances to further the branding and awareness of the college and its programs and research 2. Coordinates the relationships between partners and units within the college 3. Develops partnership strategy and effective implementation in the college Job Summary Responsible for providing comprehensive marketing and communications services, including developing and implementing strategic marketing plans, communications, creative, sales, promotions, and events for assigned division, department, college, and/or unit.. Provides internal communications support for the assigned area(s). Complies with branding standards, communication guidelines, and university policies and procedures for marketing and events. Coordinates activities in collaboration with web design, graphics, events, and communication. Provides leadership and supervision for the assigned staff. Establishes and assesses recruitment, marketing and/or sales goals and revenue generation, as appropriate. Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Leads marketing strategy, campaign execution and analysis 2. Manages all marketing activities to ensure brand consistency and effectiveness 3. Leads and supervises the assigned staff, responsible for performance management and position evaluations and ensures effective collaboration within the division and assigned departments 4. Ensures resources are strategically deployed to support key initiatives and KPIs and provides consistent and timely responses to requests for marketing and communications support from internal stakeholders 5. Directs the design and implementation of comprehensive marketing, sales, and promotion strategy for all revenue generating departments within the assigned division and departments. 6. Oversees the execution of brand management plans, understands market trends and identifies brand-building needs to increase sales 7. Monitors and analyzes sales promotion and/or recruitment results for effectiveness and ROI 8. Directs activities to support communications strategies and cross-promotional initiatives 9. Directs SEO strategy and directs initiatives to improve website visibility, user experience and performance 10. Oversees the visual impact of creative written and digital marketing materials 11. Conducts research, data collection, and implementation and bench marking of marketing best practices to meet specific goals and priorities 12. Selects and manages external vendors and media outlets 13. Manages partnerships with campus partners, including but not limited to Enrollment Services, Strategic Communications, Student Affairs, and others to implement strategy and mission critical initiatives 14. Develops and oversees annual marketing budgets and monitors expenditures, preparing summary assessments and reports 15. Oversees large scale branding and/or rebranding projects and initiatives in collaboration with Strategic Communications Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field Required Experience Eight (8) years of related work experience in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations or related field including at least five (5) in a managerial or supervisory role. Offers are based on relative experience and budget availability. KNOWLEDGE
Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns Knowledge of management principles and practices SKILLS Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, relationship building, and presentation skills Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite and graphic design programs) Skilled in developing and implementing new marketing strategies and procedures Skilled in budget preparation, fiscal management and strategic planning Strong attention to detail and follow up skills Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette Able to work in partnership with staff, faculty, administrators, students and department directors USG Core Values The University System of Georgia is comprised of our 25 institutions of higher education and learning as well as the System Office.
