Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Hospice Community Outreach & Engagement Specialist to serve as a vital link between our hospice organization and the communities we serve. In this role, you will drive awareness, foster meaningful relationships, and expand access to compassionate end-of-life care. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help us build trust, educate the public about hospice services, and ensure that patients and families receive the support they need during challenging times. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional dedicated to making a positive impact in healthcare outreach and community engagement. Duties Develop and implement strategic outreach plans to increase awareness of hospice services within diverse community settings. Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and referral sources through effective negotiation and account management. Conduct informational presentations, product demos, and educational sessions to healthcare professionals, community groups, and potential clients. Manage territory activities by scheduling visits, tracking engagement metrics, and ensuring consistent follow-up to meet or exceed outreach goals. Utilize CRM systems proficiently to document interactions, analyze outreach effectiveness, and identify new opportunities for engagement. Lead efforts in community events, health fairs, and seminars to promote hospice care options while demonstrating leadership in community health initiatives. Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored communication strategies that address client needs and foster long-term relationships. Qualifications Proven experience in outside sales, non-medical, or home health with a focus on healthcare services. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Demonstrated success in account management, territory management, or B2B sales environments. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to deliver compelling presentations and product demos. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint) and CRM systems for tracking sales activities and client interactions. Familiarity with hospice or healthcare services is a must. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while meeting or exceeding sales goals.
