Quincy University is seeking an energetic, creative, and strategic professional to serve as our Director of Community Relations . This position plays an important role in strengthening the University's visibility, reputation, and engagement by sharing the Quincy University story with students, alumni, parents, donors, and the broader community. Responsibilities:
The Director of Community Relations will: Develop engaging content including press releases, feature stories, profiles, web content, and social media messaging Serve as editor of the QUniverse Alumni Magazine Coordinate media relations and respond to media inquiries Write, edit, and proofread communications and marketing materials Manage university social media channels and digital communication platforms Coordinate and promote the From the Hawk's Nest university podcast Support marketing, advertising, and public relations initiatives Collaborate with campus departments to identify and promote compelling stories and achievements Capture and coordinate photography and event-related content Maintain and implement university communication and branding standards Represent Quincy University professionally in all interactions Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field 3-5 years of communications, marketing, public relations, or related experience Portfolio of writing samples required Qualified candidates should demonstrate: Excellent written, verbal, editing, and proofreading skills Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities Ability to build relationships and collaborate across campus departments Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion Familiarity with social media strategy and digital communication platforms Proficiency with Microsoft Office and communication/design tools Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for university events Valid driver's license required Salary:
$60,000 - $65,000 Benefits:
