| Open | Emergency Communications | $18.30 (Starting pay based on experience) | Full Time Posting Start Date 05/13/2026 Posting End Date Open Until Filled Descriptions Seeking dependable, service-minded applicants for the position of 911 Dispatcher / Emergency Communications Officer I. This is an opportunity to serve the community in a vital public safety role where calm communications, sound judgment, and teamwork make a difference every day. 911 Dispatchers are the critical link between the public and first responders. In this role, you will answer emergency and non-emergency calls, gather essential information, coordinate law enforcement, fire, and EMS response during active calls. Be the calm voice when every second matters. Requirements

SCHEDULE
Emergency communications operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week This position includes shift work, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays For the right person, shift work can offer: Structured schedules Weekday flexibility A strong team environment A meaningful alternative to a traditional 8-to-5 job Certificate Needed

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION
Experience in dispatch, public safety, call centers, healthcare, customer service, or other fast-paced environments is helpful, but not required. No dispatching experience necessary, will train the right candidate High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Must have a high degree of computer proficiency Benefits KPERS Retirement Paid Time Off Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance 11
