POSITION
Full-Time Associate Director of Lawrence Campus and Community Engagement (Associate Director): Lawrence Campus and Community Relations; Lawrence Campus (45 Franklin St); 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 10:00am - 6:30pm; Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm; Non-Unit Professional Position.
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice President of Lawrence Campus and Community Relations, the Associate Director of Lawrence Campus & Community Engagement is responsible for leading all external partnerships, community engagement efforts, and campus-based programming at the Lawrence Campus. This role serves as representative of the college to community stakeholders and is accountable for building, managing, and sustaining relationships that support student success and institutional visibility. This position leads the design and execution of programs, events, and partnerships that enhance campus vibrancy, strengthen community connections, and expand local and international engagement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Community Partnership Leadership (30%) Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship owner for all community and external partners. Build, manage, and sustain partnerships with nonprofits, cultural organizations, and civic leaders. Identify and develop collaborative opportunities that align with institutional goals and community needs. Represent the college at external meetings, events, and forums. Program & Event Execution (20%) Design, implement, and oversee community-facing programs and events in collaboration with community and campus partners. Lead coordination and execution of signature initiatives (e.g., White Fund Enlightenment Series, International Book Fair, civic engagement panels). International Partnerships & Programs (20%) Develop and manage relationships with international institutions and organizations in collaboration with college and community partners. Coordinate international exchanges, partnerships, and cultural immersion opportunities in collaboration with college and international partners. Collaborate with internal departments to align international initiatives with academic and professional development goals. Campus Vibrancy & Engagement (15%) Develop and implement initiatives that foster a welcoming, inclusive, and culturally responsive campus environment by actively engaging in the Lawrence Campus Council and helping lead its workgroups. Organize cultural programming, social events, and leadership opportunities for students and community members. Partner with campus groups to enhance engagement and belonging. Communications & Visibility (15%) Partner with Marketing and Communications to provide information for programs, events, and partnerships. Serve on the Marketing and Communications' Communicators group to advance consistent messaging and processes Ensure consistent and coordinated messaging in alignment with the college.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in higher education administration, public administration, business administration, communications, community engagement, international relations and/or related fields. Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and synthesize reports. Ability to think, reason, and make sound judgments on how responsibilities are completed in compliance with college standards and guidelines. Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Banner experience a plus. Ability to work well both independently with little to no supervision as well as part of a team. Ability to organize and maintain records, reports, and projects Excellent judgment and discretion in handling confidential information. Exceptional time management skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree Experience working in a diverse, multicultural environment and experience in higher education practices and procedures Experience with Project Management software Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Additional Information:
SALARY:
Anticipated starting salary range is $80,000 - $90,000 annually with complete fringe benefit package including competitive health insurance, dental insurance, basic life insurance, long-term disability insurance, paid sick, vacation and personal leave, educational benefits for employee/spouse/dependents, and excellent retirement benefits. Official transcripts will be required at the time of hire.
