NAUSET REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
Director of Communications&Community Eng Orleans, MA Apply Nauset Public Schools is seeking a dynamic, experienced, & community-minded Director of Communications & Community Engagement to join the district\'s leadership team. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, & leading a comprehensive communications strategy that serves both internal & external audiences across the district?s seven (7) schools & four school communities. The Director oversees all aspects of district communications, including community & media relations, publications, marketing, social media, special events, school & business partnerships, & community education. Working closely with district & school leaders, the Director provides strategic guidance, professional expertise, & technical support to ensure clear, cohesive, & effective communication across multiple platforms. This position leads the creative & strategic efforts to elevate district initiatives, programs, & services; promote transparency & trust; strengthen district visibility & voice; & foster meaningful connection, collaboration, & shared understanding between Nauset Public Schools & the broader community.
Lead District Communications:
Oversee a cohesive, districtwide communications approach that ensures timely, accurate, & accessible information is shared with internal & external stakeholders, promoting clarity, consistency, & alignment with district & school priorities.
Strategic Planning:
Develop, implement, & continuously refine a comprehensive communications strategy that streamlines messaging, strengthens coordination across schools & departments, & supports district initiatives, programs, & decision-making.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with district leadership, school administrators, staff, families, & community partners to maintain a consistent communications approach, integrate stakeholder feedback, & improve communication practices across the district.
Content Creation:
Design, develop, & produce high-quality written & visual content - including messaging, graphics, flyers, brochures, newsletters, social media posts, press releases, & website updates - to effectively communicate district initiatives across multiple platforms.
Digital Presence Management:
Oversee & manage the District?s digital presence, including the official website & social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn), ensuring content is current, engaging, accessible, & aligned with district goals & priorities.
Website Administration & Support:
Manage website content for the Central Office & School Committee, providing functional oversight, guidance, & training to district- & school-based staff on content development, posting, & maintenance.
Meeting & Public Engagement Support:
Attend School Committee & subcommittee meetings, as requested by the Superintendent, to support communications needs & ensure timely, accurate, & transparent public information.
Event Documentation & Promotion:
Attend district- & school-hosted events to document, highlight, & communicate district goals, initiatives, & achievements, with an emphasis on equity, inclusion, & meaningful community engagement.
Graphic & Visual Design:
Develop high-quality graphic & visual materials to support presentations, communications, & outreach efforts for district departments & schools.
Leadership Team Participation:
