This role supports the organization's mission by coordinating volunteers, assisting with engagement and community events, supporting donor communication and appreciation, and fostering positive connections throughout the center.
CORE EXPECTATIONS STAFF ENGAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT
Build positive, effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, donors, and community members. Perform duties as delegated by Supervisors or Directors. Attend all required staff meetings. Complete all required trainings.
MEMBERSHIP ENGAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT
Welcome, greet, and engage all volunteers, donors, and visitors in a warm, inclusive, and professional manner. Coordinate and communicate with volunteers, including scheduling, onboarding, and providing necessary information for assignments. Support donor outreach, communication, and appreciation efforts. Assist with planning and staffing engagement and community events. Maintain accurate records related to volunteer activities, donor interactions, and engagement events. Ensure reliable and consistent attendance. Maintain a neat, professional appearance following organization guidelines. Represent the nonprofit positively and professionally at all times. Provide up-to-date information and answer questions about programs, events, policies, and volunteer opportunities—both in person and by phone/email. Respond to inquiries and resolve problems; if unable to resolve, connect individuals with the appropriate staff member. Build relationships that strengthen community involvement and support the organization's mission. Encourage new volunteer involvement and assist in fostering long-term connections. Become proficient in all software used for volunteer scheduling, donor interactions, and center operations.
FACILITY MANAGEMENT
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming engagement center environment. Record and report any issues related to equipment, safety, or maintenance. Follow up on concerns brought to the center regarding facility conditions or operational needs.
VOLUNTEER DEVELOPMENT
Support the recruitment, orientation, engagement, and appreciation of volunteers. Help build volunteer capacity, reinforcing the organization's commitment to community service.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT & SUPPORT
Assist with fundraising activities, donor appreciation events, and community engagement initiatives. Build collaborative relationships with community organizations to strengthen partnerships and outreach efforts.

Qualification:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Comfortable collaborating with a small team of staff Passion for community service and nonprofit mission Experience with volunteer coordination or donor engagement is a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand; walk and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
