Job Description

The Engagement Coordinator creates and implements strategies to engage and connect with community members in Southern New Jersey (Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties). The Engagement Coordinator is responsible for responding to community needs, developing and leading engaging programs, contributing to narrative storytelling that highlight Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey (JFSNJ) programs/participants, and implementing creative engagement strategies. The Engagement Coordinator builds relationships with lay leaders, community members, and community organizations to strengthen connections between individuals/institutions and JFSNJ.
Job Responsibilities:
Staff the JFSNJ Young Adult Division (YAD) committee, empower the YAD committee to create novel and attractive opportunities for community members, identify and cultivate future Jewish communal leaders Provide back-office support for various engagement programs, manage program enrollments, and contribute to programs that engage community members in target areas, including but not limited to; young families, PJ Library & PJ Our Way, young women, volunteersServe as a spokesperson for JFSNJ system programs and services and assist in developing strategic materials, managing relationships with stakeholders related to our programs and services, and communicating with the broader community in partnership with the Marketing & Communications team Serve as a liaison to the JFed Marketing team by contributing stories, articles, post-event photos and captions, etc. to support YAD and PJ programs that can appear in the Jewish Community Voice newspaper Advance new program and service concepts that fulfill a collective need in our Jewish South Jersey community Support the work of the Funds Development team by developing relationships with existing and prospective donors, contribute to the stewardship of donors to philanthropic, leadership, and engagement opportunities throughout the JFSNJ and our Family of Agencies Create strategies for cultivation, stewardship, and prospectingof the community at large, up and coming Jewish communal leaders, and prospective and current donorsStay informed about current and emerging trends that impact the Jewish community to develop programs that are timely, data driven, and directed by community needs Evaluate program outcomes and refine programs to ensure alignment to organizational mission/vision and assess program value Work collaboratively with all departments to support engagement and donor efforts for the success and growth of JFSNJ programs and services
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree requiredRelationship building with strong interpersonal skills Deep commitment and knowledge of the Jewish community Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient in MS Office, Canva, and able to quickly adopt new technologies Self-starter, enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives Benefits include: Generous PTO; Medical, dental, and vision care included; 403b plan eligible; Group term life insurance; Voluntary disability insurance plan;
