Job Description

The Township of Hamilton, Atlantic County, NJ is seeking motivated and dependable applicants to join our team as a Part-Time Communications Officer (Police/Fire/EMS Dispatcher) position. Applicants must pass a full police background investigation, medical, psychological, and drug screening prior to hiring.

EMD, 911

certification, and Emergency Services experience preferred, but not required. Paid training will be provided upon hire . Responsibilities include but not limited to: Answer and process both 911 emergency and non-emergency telephone calls Dispatch Police/Fire/EMS resources utilizing our CAD system Monitor and operate radio and telephone communications systems Enter, update, and retrieve information through law enforcement databases Provide exceptional customer service while working in a fast paced, high pressure environment Perform other duties related to emergency communications as assigned The Township of Hamilton is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
