Position summary Banks Financial Crimes Risk Team is embedded within the Firm's business line. It is responsible for identifying, assessing, and escalating potential money laundering and reputational risk issues associated with higher risk client types. The WM and U.S. Banks Financial Crimes Risk Team is considered the first line of defense and supports the onboarding, enhanced due diligence, and negative news processes for Morgan Stanley. The KYC Office Communications A VP will: Execute against financial crimes communications strategy initiatives for the Wealth Management, US Banks, and
MSIM KYC
Office Align communications to change management process Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify/agree on communications objectives, audience, and timing Draft communications and coordinate feedback and approval on topics impacting KYC Office, inclusive of but not limited to new initiatives, procedure updates, trainings, and organizational changes Ensure consistency in messaging across KYC office including alignment between communications, procedures, and training Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Business Leaders, Second Line, Technology, and Internal Audit Own and govern KYC Office communications sites, ensuring content is accurately maintained, historically archived, and compliant with established standards
Required Experience:
5+ years of experience in financial crimes/AML/KYC and/or communications Demonstrated ability to influence cross functional stakeholders and meet deadlines Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, or another related field Ability to: Take initiative, analyze, summarize, and communicate effectively Thrive in an evolving workplace Work both independently and in a team environment Distill complex ideas and concepts into clearly digestible material Work in a matrixed organization; leveraging resources across the organization to complete deliverables Develop internal relationships, influence stakeholders, and build consensus Handle highly confidential information professionally and with appropriate discretion
Additional Skills Desired:
Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation is a plus Working knowledge of MS Office (Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Access) Strong understanding of AML regulatory requirements and expectations Strong time management and planning skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

New York:
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $105K
  • 140K per year at the commencement of employment.
However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
