Job Description

Equine Advocates Rescue & Sanctuary is home to 80+ rescued horses, ponies, donkeys & mules as well as retired working-military horses. We focus our work on rescue, sanctuary, education and advocacy. Does not include all aspects of job:
  • Social Media Create daily posts for Facebook & Bluesky, and advance schedule for weekends, holidays and time off Daily photo and/or video upload for Social Media Write/update/design the Organization's Website / knowledge of WordPress a plus Update photos on the website in the photo galleries and other pages
  • Communications Write / create regular E-blasts through Constant Contact.
Update E-Blast mailing list regularly Write quarterly newsletter (or more frequently as time permits) Help write direct mail pieces, brochures/pamphlets and information sheets Assist President with Marketing and Public Relations Write Press Releases and Distribute to Media Outlets Daily research of equine-related issues on the web for discussion with the President
  • Videography Create and Edit Videos for Social Media, YouTube, TikTok & the Website
  • Humane Education / Group Visits Set up for Humane Education Classes Assist in Group Tours Create Humane Education Videos for the web Create Kid's Games for the web and in-person
  • General /
Office Work Overflow:
data entry of gift donations, assist with large mailers and getting thank you letters/cards out, answer phones and any other office needs required
  • Events/Fundraising Work Public Open Days - Greeting Visitors and Taking Photos Participate in Community Service Volunteer Days Push on Social Media pertaining to fundraising for Giving Tuesday, holiday and end-of-year donations as well as other important dates throughout the year Assist with Annual Gala - ads, gifts, etc.
and TYs after the event Help organize other fund-raisers and special events
    Experience/Requirements:
    Bachelor's Degree Outstanding written and oral communication skills 3-Years experience with social media platforms Excellent interpersonal skills & the ability to work collaboratively and independently
