Job Description:
This position is an integral part of the outreach, enrollment, and recruitment efforts within the Office of Undergraduate Admission at The University of Toledo. The Assistant Director develops and maintains relationships with secondary schools, community organizations, and university partners to support undergraduate enrollment goals and expand educational opportunities for prospective students. The position supervises a select group of admission counselors under the direction of the Director of Undergraduate Recruitment and assists with the implementation of recruitment initiatives designed to support student access, enrollment, and success. The Assistant Director serves as the primary coordinator for College Credit Plus (CCP) recruitment and enrollment operations, including outreach, communication, admissions processing, and compliance with state requirements. The position collaborates with university and community stakeholders to create pathways for student enrollment and supports strategic recruitment efforts through data-informed decision making, relationship development, and program implementation. Additionally, the Assistant Director manages an assigned recruitment territory and is responsible for achieving territory enrollment goals through strategic outreach, relationship development, travel, and student engagement activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in undergraduate admission, enrollment management, recruitment, student services, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with students, families, school counselors, community partners, faculty, and staff.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and other technology systems used to support recruitment and enrollment operations.
  • Commitment to providing excellent service and fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for all prospective students and families.
  • Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • Supervisory experience and demonstrated success leading, coaching, or mentoring professional staff Experience developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with schools, community organizations, and educational partners.
  • Experience planning, implementing, and assessing recruitment, enrollment, outreach, and student engagement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of College Credit Plus, dual enrollment programs, or other pre-college access initiatives.
  • Experience using enrollment management systems, student information systems, and Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) platforms.
  • Understanding and workings of Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems preferred.
