Wapakoneta, Ohio The Downtown Wapakoneta Partnership is looking for an energetic, community-minded leader to serve as the face of our organization and help shape the future of downtown Wapakoneta. This newly created position is ideal for someone who loves building relationships, creating momentum, telling great community stories, and bringing people together around a shared vision for a vibrant downtown. The Executive Director will work closely with our Board of Directors, local businesses, property owners, volunteers, local government, and community partners to strengthen and promote downtown Wapakoneta through the nationally recognized Main Street approach. What You'll Do- Serve as the public face and primary ambassador for the Downtown Wapakoneta Partnership
- Build strong relationships, partnerships, and goodwill throughout the community
- Help create excitement and buy-in for downtown initiatives, events, and revitalization efforts
- Coordinate committees, projects, timelines, and strategic priorities with the Board of Directors
- Lead marketing and communication efforts using social media, website content, email marketing, photography, and digital storytelling
- Support downtown events, promotions, and community engagement activities
- Assist business and property owners by connecting them with resources, grants, incentives, and revitalization opportunities
- Manage day-to-day nonprofit administrative responsibilities including reporting, records, communications, and organizational operations What We're Looking For
- A positive, outgoing personality with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Someone who is self-motivated, organized, creative, and comfortable working independently
- Ability to connect with people from all backgrounds and build productive partnerships
- Passion for community development, historic downtowns and local engagement
- Experience in marketing, public relations, business, economic development, nonprofit leadership, or related fields is preferred
- Experience with social media management, website development, and digital communication tools is advantageous. Salary & Benefits
