Deputy Director of Communications Pawhuska - Pawhuska, OK 74056 Apply Overview Position Type Regular Full-Time Apply Description Position Summary The Deputy Director of Communications supports the Osage Nation's overall strategic direction and the day-to-day management of its communications efforts. This role helps shape and execute strategies that strengthen the Osage Nation's communications efforts to both internal and external audiences. The Deputy Director leads key initiatives in content strategy, digital communications, and internal communications, and provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to members of the communications team. This position reports to the Communications Director. Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor's in Communications, or related field, required. Master's in Communications, or related field, required. Must possess excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Must have at least 10 years of professional communication-related experience. Must have experience successfully managing a team with good interpersonal and teamwork skills. Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics. Must maintain confidentiality at all times. Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Nation. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day department operations Supervise department staff Manage workflow and production schedules Ensures alignment with executive and department director priorities Serves as acting director when necessary Supports performance management and professional development Partners with the Director of Communications to develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with organizational goals. Leads priority campaigns and initiatives that elevate the organization's visibility and impact. Ensure brand consistency, storytelling quality, and message alignment across all channels.
