Lutron is seeking a self-motivated University Relations Specialist to support campus recruiting and outreach strategies from our World Headquarters in Coopersburg, PA. In this role, you will design and execute engagement strategies with colleges, universities and professional associations to attract exceptional people and strengthen our talent pipeline. You will leverage your proven interpersonal and networking skills to develop lasting relationships with career services, faculty, students, and professional organization contacts. Through your efforts, you will ensure Lutron stands out as an employer of choice - one which fosters a collaborative environment where every idea counts. You will develop deep connections with both internal and external stakeholders, to ensure the talent community you are cultivating aligns with future talent strategies. Responsibilities Design and implement engagement strategies in collaboration with team members and business leaders to generate referrals, introductions, and meaningful interactions with high-potential candidates. Act as a strategic connection point between schools, professional associations, and key business stakeholders, fostering collaboration to build bridges within the organization in support of engagement strategies. Effectively manage events , including registration, logistics, collateral and staffing needs. Partner with HR and business leaders to identify, train, and develop Lutron ambassadors who consistently represent the company as a premier employer of choice. Engage key stakeholders and collaborate with corporate marketing to create and maintain compelling collateral that strengthens Lutron's employer brand across all outreach channels Serve as the primary liaison for career services and ensure we are fostering and sustaining relationships with faculty, student organizations, diversity offices, and professional associations. Represent Lutron at key events including career fairs, association conferences, networking forums, virtual engagements, and non-recruiting activities such as resume workshops and advisory councils. Track and analyze engagement metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of outreach strategies and continuously improve results. Collaborate with broader Talent Acquisition team on early identification programs to build rapport with targeted candidates and strengthen the talent pipeline. To succeed in this role, you should have: Proven communication skills with the ability to tailor to different audiences Proven track record of building strong relationships and partnerships The ability to balance competing priorities through proactive engagement, agility and effective project management skills A sense of urgency paired with a commitment to quality, attention to detail and follow-through Qualifications Bachelor's degree 4+ years of professional experience. Event management or university recruiting and relations experience is strongly preferred. Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for each degree earned OR 10+ years of experience post academics Willingness and ability to travel to meet business needs, especially during the fall and spring semesters - nationally up to 50% of the time Proficiency in using data to evaluate and improve strategies Familiarity with applicant tracking systems or the ability to quickly learn new software Lutron Electronics' position as the worldwide leader in innovative lighting control and shading solutions has enabled consistent, annual growth.
