Overview:
Sentara is hiring a Brand Engagement Advisor! This is a hybrid position. Overview The Brand Engagement Advisor is responsible for developing, implementing and managing brand engagement campaigns to build community and constituent support, and enhance Sentara's national, statewide, regional and local reputation. Develops and implements strategic internal communications and marketing plans, and provides communications support for system-wide initiatives, executives and service lines. This position also is responsible for developing proactive strategies and tactics for managing emerging issues that may impact Sentara and will support crisis and disaster communications. Understands the various audiences, must be able to quickly respond to customer and market changes and adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and industry. The position is required to work closely with cross-functional teams and organizational and executive leaders across many disciplines, departments and regions, have the ability to multi-task and see projects through from conception to completion. Actively contributes to a collaborative team environment that encourages cooperation, collective problem-solving and participative decision-making. May need to travel to other Sentara facilities in the Hampton Roads area on occasion. Education Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or related field (Required) Master's Degree (Preferred) Certification/Licensure No specific certification or licensure requirements Experience Six years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or integrated marketing communications (Required) Strong written and verbal communication skills (Required) Demonstrated knowledge of digital communications, media engagement, strategic communications planning, project management, budget tracking. Experience in high technology marketing and digital marketing is required. Strong knowledge of incident, issues and crisis communications management in both traditional and social media spaces, preferably at a multi-unit/geographically dispersed, complex business. Knowledge of health care delivery is desired.
