A Communications Manager plans and directs public relations programs that create a positive public image for an organization or business. Oversees press releases and communications with media; works with advertising and marketing staff to target advertising campaigns; manages internal communications such as newsletters or financial reports. MaGrann Associates is an innovative leader in energy efficiency engineering, green building consulting and building decarbonization. We are headquartered in Mount Laurel, NJ with offices in Washington DC, New York City, Connecticut, Philadelphia and Boston, and operations throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. Our Client Relationship Managers ("Solutions Specialists") are responsible for growing MaGrann business opportunities by establishing and developing relationships with clients across our service area. The ideal candidate will have strong sales and communication skills and a passion for sustainability in the built environment. Knowledge of residential new and existing building markets, including commercial (multifamily) real estate, financing, and affordable housing development, and experience related to sustainability, energy efficiency and green building consulting are all preferred but candidates with related work, interests or academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply. This position will support business development activities broadly, but with a focus on New York City and the Northeast. The successful candidate will need to bring or develop a thorough understanding of the technical, regulatory, programmatic and funding mechanisms supporting MaGrann's core services in the region, and establish relationships with key clients and stakeholders to promote continued growth of MaGrann's business and the industry in general. Principal Duties Promote and sell MaGrann services to builders, developers, architects, building owners and managers: Establish, develop and nurture client relationships Self-manage sales development activities Perform opportunity discovery to gather and communicate client needs Extensive follow-up on the status and progress of open opportunities, proposals and contracts Coordinate with internal Contract Specialists, Project Managers and the client in support of project set-up, delivery and communications Solicit client feedback and support problem solving as needed Brand awareness and marketing activities: Identify and participate in networking opportunities Represent the company at conferences and events Facilitate and deliver presentations to clients and appropriate industry forums Participate and contribute to business development planning Engage with and support Business Development team members and internal team relationships Be a passionate ambassador for the company and the mission Supplemental Information Salaried, exempt position with potential for transition to a commission and/or bonus plan structure Annual performance and merit review; Compensation (base salary plus commission and/or bonus plan as applicable) will be commensurate with skills, credentials, and experience "Hybrid" location position based at either the New York City or New Jersey office of MaGrann Associates and remote home office as approved Typical hours 9:00am - 5:00pm with flexibility to accommodate client or company schedules as needed. Evening events and overnight travel should also be expected. Must be competent working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook, and become proficient in MaGrann's enterprise systems (SharePoint and VantagePoint)
