About Echoes of Hope Echoes of Hope strives to awaken the spirit of hope in the lives of children, youth, and young adults in need by alleviating barriers and helping them reach their full potential. Annually, the organization assists over 10,000 students in need with resources relating to their education, basic needs, and employment. Position Summary The Community Engagement and Partnership Specialist will play a key role in expanding Echoes of Hope's impact by building community partnerships, identifying and cultivating corporate sponsorships, coordinating outreach efforts, and assisting with programs and initiatives. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, representing the organization, and helping bring programs and events to life. Working closely with the Co-Founders and CEO, this individual will strengthen community engagement while supporting fundraising and student-focused programming. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable taking initiative and ownership and is willing to think beyond traditional approaches to help Echoes of Hope grow. Since building relationships with our youth is at the center of Echoes of Hope's work, we are looking for someone with strong emotional intelligence, compassion, and the ability to authentically connect and build community with the diverse population we serve. Responsibilities Community Partnerships, Outreach, & Program Support Build and maintain relationships with businesses, nonprofits, schools, colleges, and community organizations Identify new partnership opportunities that benefit Echoes of Hope and the individuals we serve Represent Echoes of Hope at networking events, community meetings, resource fairs, and volunteer opportunities Coordinate outreach efforts to expand awareness or the organization's programs and mission Assist with planning and executing of quarterly workshop events and engagement activities Collaborate with staff to ensure successful implementation of programs Processing and reviewing incoming applications and referrals Sponsorship & Resource Development Research and identify potential corporate sponsors and community partners Assist with sponsorship outreach, proposals, follow-up, and stewardship Help secure in-kind donations and community resources Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sponsorship and partnership activities Administrative Support Support marketing to promote events, partnerships, and sponsorships Gather photos, stories, and testimonials from events for communications Assist with newsletter, outreach materials, event communications and fundraising Maintain partnership and outreach tracking systems Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred 2+ years of experience in nonprofit, community engagement, education, partnerships, event coordination, or related fields Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and project management skill Comfortable networking and building relationships with diverse stakeholders Be able to connect compassionately with young people from diverse backgrounds Comfortable taking initiative and ownership when needed Creative, resourceful, and willing to think outside the box to solve problems and identify new opportunities Confident in representing the organization and communicating its mission and programs to external audiences Naturally curious and able to recognize opportunities and ideas that might not have been considered Self-starter who can handle multiple projects Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, JotForm, Canva Passion for supporting underserved youth and advancing educational equity Preferred Qualifications Experience working in the nonprofit sector Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Familiarity with corporate sponsorships or fundraising Experience coordinating events Benefits Paid holidays & paid time off Professional development opportunities Hybrid work environment Opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of students throughout Southern California Echoes of Hope is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
