This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop innovative programs, manage volunteer efforts, and promote community well-being through strategic engagement. The ideal candidate will be energetic, highly organized, and committed to making a positive impact by building strong relationships and empowering community members.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Communications Create and distribute community announcements via Yardi, Rent Cafe, and social media Ensure Executive Director has pulse on community feedback, programing Review and execute community initiatives related to maintenance and facility needs. (e.g., community clean-ups, grounds maintenance, parking enforcement, construction notices) 2. Social Media Post community announcements and events Monitor, document, escalate (when necessary), and respond to all inbound comments and social chatter Review user-flagged content for policy violations 3. Community Engagement & Outreach Programs Committee Serve as Programs Committee staff liaison; attend monthly meetings and ensure minutes are taken and reported Assist in building and strengthening community participation in Co-op activities Communicate resident feedback to committee to assist with program decision-making Execute program communications Initiate event coordination or delegate to volunteer Develop and maintain relationships with local organizations and community partners Seek new outreach our partnership opportunities 4. Volunteer Engagement Create systems for effective volunteer recruitment for community participation and involvement Work with applicable CTC team members to generate community-building ideas and Ward Rep Communication and events Encourage Co-op living to prospects and to residents for volunteer community engagement 5. Event Planning and Programming Plan and execute reoccurring company hosted events and services Recruit and manage volunteers when necessary Coordinate logistics for events including supplies, scheduling, vendors, etc. Collect and lead appropriate follow-up after events Support (provide announcements and communication) for resident planned community events 6. Reporting Submit monthly report on resident feedback, internal communication, workload and projects activities to Executive Director for Management Report
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Serve as support and coverage to Front Desk, as needed 2. Perform other duties as requested by the Executive Director
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Desired Education and Experience Required
  • Bachelor's communications and/or related area, or equivalent experience
  • Three or more years of professional experience creating and implementing marketing campaigns (e.g., online digital tools and social media)
  • High level of proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite and database management software (YARDI preferred)
  • Experience in cooperative or property management industry, preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Experience with social media marketing or social networking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to write, review and edit documents and marketing communications
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, collaboration, and relationship building skills to effectively work with a diverse group/variety of people and personalities
  • Strong general office and organizational skills, including creating and maintaining operational systems to support the organization
  • Possess a thorough, organized and detail-oriented approach to work to multi-task projects and on-going daily activities and work in a fast-paced setting
  • Apply effective time management skills to meet all deadlines; display flexibility to meet organization's unique needs; operate with a sense of urgency
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; able to implement marketing needs into tangible communications
  • A proactive planner and executor; able to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage own work
  • Able to work unsupervised and solve routine problems independently, effectively and creatively

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THIS JOB
Incumbent must be able to:
  • Hear and speak in order to use telephone/video and communicate with people inside and outside the office
  • Sit at a desk for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer
  • Apply manual dexterity and visual acuity for computer keyboarding and office equipment use
  • Visual ability to create and review detailed documents and reports
  • Move around office area and building repeatedly throughout the day
  • Move around CTC grounds including climbing stairs, as needed to assist with events, emergencies and operations as needed on a periodic basis
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Incumbent must be able to use computers and other general office equipment
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily work in an indoor office setting. Must be able to go outside regularly in all MN weather conditions, varying temperatures to address residential issues, attend events, attend outside meetings, etc.
Pay:
$48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
