Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Individual Giving Officer on behalf of a nationally recognized healthcare-focused nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing research, improving patient outcomes, and supporting individuals and families affected by a life-threatening genetic disease. This is a full-time, remote opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional located within the Northeast region.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Individual Giving Officer will lead major gift fundraising efforts across a multi-state territory, managing relationships with individuals, families, and foundations capable of making significant philanthropic investments. This role is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors while helping advance a mission-driven organization committed to transforming lives through research, advocacy, and care. RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a portfolio of approximately 75-100 major donor prospects and supporters capable of making gifts of $10,000 or more.
Develop and execute cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and engagement strategies designed to secure major and planned gifts.
Identify, qualify, and build relationships with new high-capacity donors throughout the assigned territory.
Secure significant philanthropic investments, with a focus on gifts of $100,000 and above.
Represent the organization in donor meetings, presentations, events, and community engagement activities.
Communicate organizational impact, research advancements, and funding priorities in a compelling and donor-centered manner.
Maintain accurate donor records and collaborate with internal teams to achieve fundraising goals and enhance donor stewardship.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required.
8+ years of major gift fundraising experience with a demonstrated record of securing six-figure gifts.
Strong knowledge of donor cultivation, stewardship, moves management, and planned giving strategies.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals, families, and foundations.
Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal-writing skills.
Experience using donor databases and CRM systems; Salesforce experience preferred.
Ability to travel regularly throughout the Northeast region and manage multiple priorities independently.
LOCATION
This position is remote and requires residency within the Northeast United States. Regular travel throughout the region is required.

$125,00-$150,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location plus comprehensive benefits including:
