We are looking for a dynamic Marketing & Communications Manager to join our team! The Marketing & Communications Manager creates, implements, and oversees the organization's advertising, communications, and marketing activities. Responsible for developing effective messaging and communication strategies, the Marketing & Communications Manager will work with all forms of media, including press releases, digital campaigns, print materials, social media, audio, video, and more. This is a hybrid position, Monday - Friday, with two remote days and three in-office days that may be split between our Southfield and Ann Arbor offices. Office hours are 8:30a-5p M-Th and 8:30a-4p on Friday. As Marketing & Communications Manager, you may need to work beyond these office hours to assist with local events. Responsibilities Manage and implement the organization's advertising and promotional activities Analyze target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing and communication strategies that build member loyalty, brand awareness, and member satisfaction Create, schedule, post, and manage engaging social media content across GMAR's digital platforms to strengthen member engagement Collaborate and manage an online graphic design subscription service to develop and manage creative assets (Penji), ensuring marketing materials are on-brand, timely, and aligned with campaign goals Forecast, draft, implement and oversee the department's operating budget Serve as Editor/Publisher, gathering, writing, and editing news for GMAR's regular publications and marketing materials Conduct interviews and write press releases appropriate to GMAR's ideal image; as well as other journalistic duties that may arise Maintain relations with media outlets and distribute press releases to them promptly Coordinate media events Ensure website content and aesthetics are current and communicate the information and image of GMAR Design, create and manage all online and offline GMAR materials, including flyers, programs, handouts, signs, online ads, branded merchandise, etc. Troubleshoot IT issues with GMAR technology and coordinate resolutions with our third-party vendors as it relates to website integration/development Take pictures and videos; edit, produce, distribute and present Maintain communication with NAR and Michigan
REALTORS
® to work together on programs Coordinate and schedule online announcements on 3rd party websites Promote deadlines for various association activities (elections, nominations, etc.) Work with vendor to create an online election platform annually Seek out and implement new member benefits, as well as refine and examine existing marketing technologies to improve office infrastructure efficiency, membership ease of use, and meet modern standards Maintain knowledge of emerging products and services Collaborate with CEO to develop growth plans for the organization
Other Team Responsibilities:
Assist other staff with event functions when available Serve as front desk/phone backup (if necessary) Assist with yearly membership dues processing
Committee Responsibilities:
Staff liaison to Global Initiative Committee Schedules meetings, add to master calendar, send meeting reminders, prepare agendas, minutes & packets and send out in advance, and attend all meetings as scheduled Qualifications Proven experience managing marketing, advertising or public relations in a fast-paced environment Strong expertise in digital marketing channels including social media advertising campaigns, email marketing, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), and web analytics reporting Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Mailchimp, and website development platforms Excellent content writing skills coupled with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences. Experience managing budgets effectively while optimizing campaign performance through data analysis Strong organization, project management, and multi-tasking skills
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field At least three years of experience in marketing and long-range planning Non-profit association experience preferred
Pay:
$53,425.60 - $65,141.15 per year
